[Klug-general] Changing root password

Good morning all,
On an entirely different topic, some months ago I convinced my American 
friend to switch to Linux and he now has Mandriva 2008.1, same as me, 
but on a reasonable laptop not a desktop machine.

He now wants to change his root password but does not know how to do 
that. Neither do I. Is it possible at all, either with the gui or with 
command-line entry from a konsole?
