[Klug-general] Wifi drivers

Do you know what the power output of it is, I am in the market for a new card?

I used to use SMC2532W-Bs (used the Intersil PRISM drivers that are in
practically every kernel now).   These used to pump out 23.5 dBm /
222mW.  The added advantage was that they had two RP-MMCX external
antenna connectors that allowed you to put uni-directional aerials on
there and (literally) pick things up for miles by totally exceeding
the 35.1 dBm legal limit, I think 8 miles was my record with a biquad
dish antenna.  You also used to be able to stun passing pigeons and
seagulls with it.

SMC have replaced this card with the SMC2536W-AG which although it
does 802.11 a, b and g (compared with b only for the 2532W-B) it
doesn't have 802.11n or an external antenna connector.  They have also
reduced the power to 20 dBm / 100 mW (probably at the request of the
RSPCA after finding several pigeons and seagulls unconscious in East
London....).
