[Klug-general] Laptop purchase. any recommendations?

Heh, I loved my x21, that thing went through the wars having spent the  
better part of 3 years being lugged around everywhere :)

I even cracked it a bunch of times and superglued the case back up. It  
just went on and on.

on a slightly related note, how do the new Lenovo machines fare  
against the old school thinkpads?
