Nicolas,

Sharon doesn't drive as she's local.  Parking near the pub isn't 
brilliant.  There is official parking at the Fremlins multi-storey which 
is accessed off the A229 just after leaving the central Maidstone one 
way system.

I tend not to park there - but to continue North (out of town) until the 
next roundabout and then turn right, up a short incline to another 
roundabout and turn left.  Almost immediately right there is the car 
part of a furniture store, which being closed is OK to use at that time 
of the evening.

To get to the pub from there cross over the roundabout you just left 
and continue on, which takes you past the Town Hall and the Wetherspoons 
is a little further on your right.

Might make it myself but have an ex-work colleague visiting in the 
afternoon for a chat and catch up and it depends one what time she leaves.
