I tend to agree.

I can't see the gain of grub2 over lilo,

Grub (Legacy) however is neat small, text configurable. Grub2 seams to
lose all the advantages that Grub gained over Lilo and hence I suspect
Grub Legacy has a Legacy that means it will remain king for a long
time yet.
