no it shouldn't be need but you might want to check that the mailbox cleanup
agent is running on the server

also double check that users are actually using their mailbox to sroes
emails and not a pst

also run treesize free on the server:
http://www.jam-software.com/freeware/index.shtml

This will show you where the space is going
