Hi, for the ICMP group http://icmp.org.uk/ I want to make video available
to/for the internet. Simple demos of what is going on and what projects
people are working on.

I want to take from various sources (Photographs, DV camera, webcam etc...)
and edit them using some common OSS video editors PiTiVi, Cinelerra,
OpenShot etc... Which I have used before.

I have played with systems like JW Player:
http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/ and making video available on my own
site, which in itself is an interesting exercise. However as yet it is
not entirely user friendly for encouraging others to easily and quickly edit
and upload video. Not to mention bandwidth concerns.

   1. What on-line video hosting services to others use (youtube, vimeo
etc...), what do you like/dislike? I don't like youtube
because everyone uses it and it's blocked at work (for everyone who doesn't
know their way round the network).
   2. What "export" settings do you use on your video editor of choice when
producing video to upload to a hosting service?
