I do agree with the idea of not putting waste electrical items
into landfill, I'll just clarify my experiences for those who are unaware of
what is available:

WEEE bins, often found at general recycling collection points (supermarkets
with the bottle banks) are often too small for any large items (trying to
squeeze a larger tower into one can be difficult). But ideal for radios,
keyboards and digital camera size waste.

Most "tips" have also got areas for recycling computers (including CRT
screens) which are more appropriate to larger items.
