Good talk,

Thinking further on this subject of using Linux for switching, what's to
stop someone taking, a an old PC and using Linux to turn it into a full
multiport Ethernet switch router able to route, switch monitor in a
modifiable fasion, and still be reality cheap?

Could I then add a Wifi card and turn it into an access point, and then turn
it round and use it as a Router,

I'm talking Low Power, Light Weight, here and yet still be able to monitor,
delay lose packets etc and also able to intercept and firewall, I guess.

Might be an interesting project.

Peter.
