This happened to some of my recordings when they started to split films into
two parts separated by the news or whatever, specifically the commercial
channels. I started to use the "record at any time on this channel" setting
in mythtv, and allowed it to handle duplication. This is a slightly ugly
workaround, the programme will still appear as 2 distinct recordings, but at
least they are there.
