Sorry I can't attend today, bad back! I hope it is all worthwhile for
everyone who gets there. But this is really about a slightly irritating
problem, can anyone help?

I have two printers, one a laser page printer and the other is an Epson
Stylus Photo RX520 for colour. Under Ubuntu 11.04 both are recognised
and work fine. I run WindowsXP under VirtualBox and have configured all
Windows programs to print to these printers in the usual way by
directing the Windows printer setup to print to
http://192.168.2.2:631/printers/printer-name.

That works perfectly for the laser printer but for the Epson printer
nothing happens until I close down the Windows VirtualBox program. Then
it prints out OK. So something is interrupting it somehow. I wonder why
one printer works OK and the other doesn't. Odd that.

All ideas would be most welcome as having to switch the VB on and off
when I have several items to print from my Windows-based accounts
program is something I'd like to correct.

Both printers worked fine when I did this under my previous operating
system of PCLinuxOS, but that has now evolved to the point where it
doesn't recognise my sound system any more - in fact no KDE 4.6 offering
will. Another odd thing, but Ubuntu with Unity (I never thought I'd say
this) is fine.
