so my my bad. I meant xmbc player node thingy.
the server role is already sorted with my HP mini server with samba
and ushare - although I might check out the  twonky.

the pi could probably replace the server as well but I don't fancy
building a raid setup with usb harddisks. Not neat and a suspect not
power efficient
