I had a returned machine yesterday from a near-convert who loved the
penguin, but  absolplutely needed to run his kindle software, he had
tried Wine on Ubuntu 11.10 but tells me it fails to communicate with the
device. Not being a Kindling I can't test.

Is anyone aware of a native Linux app under development, or has got them
to talk with Wine?
