Hi Margot,
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? What is the platform that
you're trying to modify? If you're only trying to change HTML, then
you might find that your website is quite old-fashioned and there
might be PHP interspersed with HTML. In that case you can freely
change the HTML to get the result you want. If, however, the website
is even vaguely modern, then this could be much more complicated.
Depending on how much you want to learn, you would probably benefit
from a community like:
http://www.reddit.com/r/phphelp
You can ask questions on PHP Help on Reddit and there are links to
decent tutorials in the right-hand column.
