Hi,
Cool that sounds good as you are as you say right by the station. If you can manage it then please see what you can do.
Thanks
Kev

We have a function room space at holiday extras site near westenhanger station. It has wifi and a projector available which a few meet ups have used before in weekday evenings.
I could enquire and see if it could be made available to the klug if needed?

No worries.
I like the sound of pub meets. It's quite informal, not that klugs where formal!
Quite :-)
But should we want to display anything on your projector it could be a bit awkward unless they had a function room for us to use.
Could be worth looking into those really small pocket projectors and we can then shine it against the wall.
If we go down the route of trying to obtain grants on a semi-regular basis I can gather the necessary information if needed. I would also not mind in becoming a trustee though not the treasurer....!!! :-$
LOL thanks. Its not a route I wan't to go down. I've been resisting it ever since we started as that was from where we first came.
As for virtual meetings I'm sure many of you know there are a few ways to achieve this;
- Mumble,
- Jitsi,
- Hangouts,
- Skype,
- Combinations of the above,
- IRC,
- Etc.
We've tried and its not been great we could have another go, on a casual basis its not workable but a fixed time maybe. Google hang out may be the best way as it supports a fair number of people. We've had this discussion before about trying mumble too.

Thanks Glen I have grabbed a copy and will take a look.
One of the venues has now gone so I'm just waiting on one other and hopefully that option will provide us with some dates.
Other than that, we will need to pay for venues. I have found I can obtain a grant which would help but that also requires a more official structure of the user group and one I don't want to pursue as I don't have the time to focus on it. If anyone wants to discuss that option as they do have the time then please speak up (it in essence revolves around creating bank accounts, having policies and a general proper club format).
Another option considering we are lacking venues is to go to social meetings in pubs and seeing most are empty they perhaps won't mind. Just makes it difficult to ensure we have space to sit and of course then limits the options as far as doing things. But if you want to have face to face meetings then this may be the way.
The worst case is we go completely virtual and only have online meetings or just continue to exist on this mailing list. The same old conundrum.

MVA Membership Pack
I asked for, but did not receive, their membership pack. I called today and got a response. Here are the files on my GDrive.
