Andy seems to be a sound guru. I have two points to make.
1. Fedora Core is said to be iffy when loaded with MS Windows XP. there
are reports of it screwing up the NTFS partition. Also why Core 1? 2 is
available now.
2. I've gone with the default installations for sound under Suse. Have
now installed SuSE v9.1 on three different PCs (an Athlon, a K6II and a
PIII laptop) without any problems and have had no problems in running
Audacity, Broadcast2000, etc. Have previously used Broadcast2000 on v8.2
as well.
