Andy & Richard,

Thanks for helpful comments re sound via Debian.

Two points from Andy's message:

ac97 -- No, the mobo in question does not have on board sound. The 
Soundblaster 5.1 is the only sound card.

I clearly need the 2nd CD. Perhaps one of you guys would be good enough 
to burn me a copy for collection at the next Folly meet or perhaps for 
delivery via snail mail.
