Good afternoon Martyn
I am writing to you to request help to perhaps put me in touch with Linux
professionals within your user group. I am the head of recruitment for all
Linux professionals, both contract and permanent, within 1st-IT People. As a
long standing recruitment consultancy, we have worked with and successfully
recruited for some of the largest corporations in the world, together with
some of the more up and coming ones. As you know, Linux and open source has
been, for both small to medium enterprises and large companies, the
operating system of choice with companies even migrating from the
historically popular systems like Solaris, AIX and HP, to Linux. I have
consequently found it very worthwhile concentrating on the recruitment of
Linux specialists.
As the contact for the Linux User Group in your area, I was hoping to gauge
your opinion as to whether you know anyone looking for a Linux (LAMP)
systems and network administrator's role in the Wakefield area. My client is
a niche consultancy and the responsibilities would involve taking care of
their infrastructure and with occasional travel, the infrastructure of their
clients. This is a very varied role incorporating a great mix of Linux
(mostly Debian), internet networking and databases, together with hardware
and security. The salary is above market rates and they are ready to
interview straightaway with a very quick decision making process.
Please don't take this as "spam". Feel free to take a look at our website
and if you wish, I can elaborate further either via email or indeed over the
phone. If you know of anyone with at least 2-3yrs experience in Linux, I
would be very grateful if you could either forward me their details or
forward my details on to them.
Thank you in advance and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to
contact me.
Best Regards
Aamer Chaudhari
