[Lancaster] Using Samba as a member of an Active Directory?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have experience of using samba to join an existing Active 
Directory Domain as a member?

I seem to have a semi-working configuration. Some machines can access it (i.e. 
my linux desktop, but via it it's IP address and one windows desktop attached 
to the domain), though other desktops can't (i.e. another windows desktop 
attached to the domain!!!)
