[Lancaster] Interesting alternative?

I was recently looking to find some information about the formation and
foundation of various commercial Linux OS companies.

I hit the major search engines as normal but couldnt find some key details,
then I stumbled on a wierd site http://bhau.in/ which states it is a human
search engine.  I am waiting for the email to come back with the information
that I need, and am wondering if anyone has used them before, or any similar
services.
