[Lancaster] batch delete metadata

hi all

i have to clean the metadata from approx 1000 files (PDF, ODT and DOC) by this 
afternoon - any ideas?

pdftk can dump the metadata from pdfs, says in the MAN page that it can change 
it, but can't.

extract and libextractor can extract the metadata from virtually anything, but 
doesn't seem to have  (a documented) function to write or wipe the metadata

any other way of doing it (other than opening everything up in openoffice and 
saving it again)?
