Thanks for the update. I'll maybe have a look at SuSE some day, though
I'm put off by the prospect of having to relearn a lot of debian-based
skills.
I've been playing with supercollider
http://supercollider.sourceforge.net/ . It's a programming language for
designing your own synthesised musical instruments. Takes a while to
learn what to do with it but there are step by step tutorials on the
website and it's very powerful once you get the hang of it. If anyone on
the list is interested in this kind of stuff I'd be happy to show them
what I've been doing some time, or maybe do a proper demo for the whole
group.
