I've got one of the original Asus EEE PCs, which is pretty good for what
I use it for - mainly as a portable music/video player. The sound is
really good for such a small machine and the keyboard is perfectly
usable. I haven't done any hacking on it because I do most of my work at
home on my main laptop, and it's still running the linux system which
came with it. Everything works pretty nicely for the limited things I do
with it. Not sure what the newer ones are like - the screen is bigger
but they moved the speakers inside the case I think which isn't so good
from my point of view.
