RAM space may be the limiting factor. Don't forget the you will need enough 
RAM to run your host OS  --  PLUS enough space for any guest OSes that you 
wish to run, say 512MB to 1GB each.

Also, most virtual machines do not allow access to all of the hardware on the 
host machine.
