[Lancaster] another site update..

Hi guys i was thinking about dropping the two links mailing list which  
is direct and mailing list archive
and create one page thats a site page and not the mailng list with  
instructions and links to both archive and sign up
a bit like this but not as heavy!!

more explaining the benifits from joining etc!
what do you guys think ?.... am i creating a obstacle or is it better  
to explain what these things are for new people who really just dont  
understand what they are?...
i think it might like better intergrated into the site and them etc

is the front page text ok andy?... what do you think to the text on  
the gnu / linux page
is very plain any ideas andy?..
