.. which should probably be understood in the context of a general
(Apple, MS, Ubuntu) move toward phone/tablet/handheld/wearable touch
screen technology. Soon only strange geeks will even want a socalled PC.
Most ppl will just have an ARM (or otherwise) powered device that can be
docked at home to connect to a bigger screen. Workplaces might not even
buy PCs anymore, but establish a docking grid and cloud where employees
plug in their own devices, providing computational power for work
purposes themselves.

The era of the mouse driven desktop and highly configurable, complex
devices liek the PC have come to an end. Most ppl couldn't care less
about software freedom, when all they want is "device freedom" and
"portability" and, crucially, interoperability (such as Smart Glass).
