[Lincoln LUG] November LUG meeting

Hi

You are all cordially invited to the next Lincoln LUG meeting on
Wednesday 16th November starting at 19:30 hours :)

The venue is the same as last month - Ye Olde Crowne pub [1],
Clasketgate, Lincoln, LN2 1JS. The feedback on the venue was positive;
it had a great selection of beers, good food, electrical sockets
galore to plug into, free wi-fi, and most importantly, it had a great
atmosphere and the bar staff/owners were very welcoming.

For this meeting we are going to get "technical" and have some
hands-on bodging going on! Fancy having a play too? One of our LUG
members, Jo, is bringing along an old laptop for us to breathe new
life into by trying a variety of different Linux distributions. We're
hoping that LUG members come along with their favourite distros (for
older machines!) on a CD. I'll be taking along a CrunchBang CD! :D

Another LUG member, Neal, has also offered to walk Philip through an
install of a custom Android ROM on his phone. As you can see, it's
going to be a real "show and tell" evening with something for
everybody to get involved in. It would be awesome if you could come
out to play too!
