[Lincoln LUG] apologies and begging

Hi Alistair T,

No worries. Fixed the problem, but only after pulling the battery, then re inserting after a minute or two (a little trick I have used before with success for some stubborn power/hibernate issues)

I'll stick to not using this particular machine for installs, I've got other machines for testing.

Impressions of puppy though: fast yes, my cup of tea.. probably not. Quite like the polish on ubuntu or centos.. and of course crunchbang for minimal installs where i need speed with limited resources.

I'll be testing a custom build of fedora for the pi soon once the build process has finished. I'm aware there is an arm port (v5>), but not one specifically optimized for arm-v6. I'm interested to find out what the bench tests show.

Kind Regards
Alistair C

hey all

hey alistair, I hope you have managed to sort your laptop and once again apologies for any troubles

I contacted the builds author and he is confident that it couldn't break it but please let me know how you get on

I am hoping somebody could help with a fast internet connection, I have about 1700 puppy builds I need to upload for posterity and sharing and am struggling with my BT 300k upload speed......

cheers

ally :)

Hi all!
I'm afraid I'm not going to be able top make it over to Lincoln this month.
I've been daft and got myself double booked. :(
See you at the next one, though!

Have a good evening everyone.
