[Lincoln LUG] backup

hey everyone

Can i have everyone's recommends for backups with debian, it's a single low
power machine i store files on (mainly photos).  I have a 1tb usb drive i
want to use in case the main drive dies.

just need something automated i can run once a week and get email alerts if
any issues.

Ideas....???
