[Lincs] Unrealistic expectations?

I think helping hands will be easier to find than machines to install
on. I guess a party rules out Gentoo though, unless it's going to be a
three day festival with tents ;-)
Just an idea, and it may be a bad one, but are there are any reasonably
sensible LAN-party groups in Lincs that we could team up with on
events/locations? Could increase the audience, and gaming on Linux is
not too shabby these days.
Also, perhaps we could come up with something newsworthy to get some
coverage in the local rags. People actually seem to pay a lot of
attention to the local papers up here (we triggered the broadband level
here in Sutton on Sea just weeks after the council paper did a big
broadband push), and they always seem short of stories. Something
interesting (or even not interesting, given most of the stories they
publish) could turn into more publicity for the group and perhaps give
things a kick start.

Great idea. Again, this could tie in with press coverage.
Guess I should go back and read the archives now, I've only been on the
list a few days, and I don't want to cover old ground!
