The Advanced Concepts Team of the European Space Agency (ACT - ESA) is
looking for a research fellow in the subject of collaborative open design.
The candidate must have a B.Sc, or M.S. degree in Computer Science (or in
some related field). It is preferred if (s)he also has some academic
research experience. See

http://www.esa.int/gsp/ACT/opportunities_COD.htm

for more details. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing
open-source software development projects; we need his/her experience in
seeing how people can collaborate when working on a particular project. The
fellowship would cover some development work as well - to create an
environment for collaborative work and design (for sharing ideas,
documentation, data, etc.) - see the environment of

www.thinkcycle.org

for a similar sample application. Additionally, (s)he can work in the team's
other current projects as well (see http://www.esa.int/gsp/ACT/ for more).
Applicants should send their CV and a covering letter, stating their
research interest to: ACT at esa.int

(Please note that the extended deadline for application is the 30th
November, 2004. This deadline may be further extended, but only until a
successful candidate is found, so early applications are encouraged.)
