Hello all. My brother works for 3Dlabs (creative) and they are looking
for someone to help porting the linux kernel to ARM with thier new
chip. I thought id pass this on as its above my ability, but someone
here might be interested:

Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities and Skills/Experience Required



DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES



The successful candidate will be responsible for porting the Linux
Kernel and associated GCC tool chain, to an ARM core within a 3Dlabs
proprietary embedded media processor. They will be working within a
small team responsible for OS and peripheral driver support.



QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE



The skills required are:

Experience of Linux kernel and GCC tool chain porting

Experience of new silicon hardware bringup

Excellent current 'C' and 'C++' programming

Good current ARM processor knowledge

Exceptional problem solving skills

Experience developing on embedded systems (writing device drivers,
programming at the hardware level)



Also of interest:

Experience of inter-processor communications (multi-processor cores).

Experience of implementing parallel processing algorithms.
