Systems Administration / Release Manager - Central London

 

Salary depending on experience - will also receive Bonus and Stock

 

Based in Central London, this innovative start-up company in the mobile
internet sector is looking for someone to take charge of systems
administration and the release of applications into the live environment.
The role will involve supporting the weekly cycle of application release, as
well as technical troubleshooting, and bug tracking.  Applicants will be
considered at all levels, regardless of whether you have commercial
experience, so this is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their
skills using cutting-edge technology within a multi-talented team.  To be
considered for the role, applicants must have good Linux systems
administration skills (ideally with RedHat), and experience with open source
databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).  In addition, a good understanding of source
control products such as Subversion, experience of scripting languages
(Perl, PHP), and technical troubleshooting skills will be required.  This is

Perl Application Developer - Central London

internet sector is looking for an experienced Perl Application Developer to
join its multi-talented team.  This is an excellent opportunity for a Perl
programmer to develop their skills while working with cutting edge
technology as part of a cross-functional team.  The role will involve
developing various applications based around the mobile internet, and the
multiple services available to customers.  The ideal candidate will have;

 

-          Strong Perl programming skills (including OO), with experience or
knowledge of as many of the following as possible: Apache, mod_perl,
Subversion, CVS, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Web Services.

-          Experience of XMPP is preferred.

-          Experience deploying applications on Linux platforms.

-          Experience with relational databases and object-oriented systems.

-          Excellent knowledge of modern software systems engineering and
experience in building distributed component-based software solutions.

-          Research, investigation, evaluation, analytical and mathematical
skills.
