Position: Linux Technician
The role involves assisting with the running and maintenance of the
studios as well as aiding the development of the network infrastructure.
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system
(particularly RH distributions).
- Proficiency in installing and upgrading workstations and
servers.
- Ability to learn quickly and problem solve is essential.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capacity to manage a busy workload with high
productivity.
Responsibilities:
- LAMP server administration including IPTables.
- Basic BASH scripting
- Research open source solutions on virtualized servers.
Useful Knowledge/Interest:
- VFX software such as Maya, Renderman, Shake.
- Network Management tools.
- Linux Mail Servers.
