Campbell-Lange Workshop is an IT services company based in Central
London.

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to help run the IT
networks, servers and desktops of our clients consisting of several
London-based design companies together with our own datacentre-based
services. 

We operate around 50-60 servers largely running Debian with some Xen
virtualisation and several Microsoft AD/Exchange servers. Clients
typically use Windows desktops although we also have a significant
proportion of OSX users.

We pride ourselves on achieving excellent uptime across all of our
services which include file, mail, calendar and contact, backup,
telephony and web services, most of which are based on open source
solutions. Our small team also need to respond to desktop support
requests using remote management tools or during scheduled on-site
support sessions.

We seek an energetic and able person to join our team in a
cross-disciplinary role focussing largely on infrastructure and
developing new services, but also involved in desktop support.
Applicants should have experience of running numbers of servers, working
in a cross-platform environment, storing tens of TB of data and have
expertise in automating repetitive tasks. Additional experience and/or
qualifications in areas outside of computing are very welcome. Work
ranges from prototyping new services to being prepared to visit a
client's site to sort out a server, network or desktop problem.

We are mostly a vim/mutt/ssh/screen/postgres/python crowd, but maybe it
is time for a change...

The approximate salary for this position is 35K/annum with good
after-hour rates for additional project work, 5 weeks of holiday a year
and other perks including a commitment to ongoing training.
