graze is a fast-growth, online food company based on a homegrown and highly scalable technology platform. Everything from our website, through to our customer service tools and dispatch systems, is built in PHP/MySQL and served through Amazon Web Services or locally in our premises in London. We're a small but growing technical team of web designers, developers and system architects taking on a broad range of exciting challenges daily.
graze was started by 7 friends and is led by the co-founder of LoveFilm. We deliver tasty, natural snacks which get delivered through the post in the UK and since our official launch in January 2009 we have grown massively and now have over 100,000 subscribers and are sending over 400,000 graze boxes a month.
The role
We have a unique opportunity for someone who relishes high-end UNIX systems administration. Be our senior systems architect, improving and optimising our existing systems and rolling out advanced solutions to aid our rapid growth.
In addition you'll need to use your natural programming flair to solve constant and rewarding challenges.
What we’re looking for in you
expert knowledge of the UNIX environment and all aspects of server automation, configuration, customisation and administration (Amazon AWS experience a bonus)
expert MySQL database administration skills
advanced knowledge of network administration, wireless networking, VPNs, firewalls and routine
proven PHP programming experience, with an understanding of and experience in using the MVC model, is a bonus
an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for problem solving
