Linux and Microsoft Windows Technical Support Engineer/Systems Administrator (ideally with VMWare and/or Cisco) required by well-known Games company in Edinburgh City Centre.

 

The prestigious and modern headquarters are based near the bus and train station for easy Central Belt commuting.

 

We are looking for someone with a mix of Linux (essential), Microsoft Server (highly desirable), ideally with some VMWare and/or Cisco technical support experience for a permanent position based in Edinburgh City Centre. Training will be given in any of the non-essential skills such as VMWare, Cisco, SQL 2008, Exchange 2010, Apache etc.

 

This is a very unique opportunity to work in a very exciting environment within a hugely successful world-wide organisation. Due to expansion they want an enthusiastic and "can-do" engineer that has several years experience behind them of supporting complex, mixed platform environments.

 

The successful candidate will be one of three server level systems administrators supporting 40-50 servers for around 300 users across several locations.

 

The position offers a wide variety of work, from high level day-to-day support to special projects. The cash-rich nature of the company means they are always at the forefront of technology and frequently deploy the latest solutions to help further growth and productivity across the entire business. Salaries will depend on experience, but up to £45,000 is possible
