Job Summary
The Client Services Manager's primary responsibilities will be to design
and develop solutions for Red Hat customers in the United Kingdom. This
would involve working with the account teams to develop services based
business in the large enterprise accounts. The successful candidate
would be expected to actively participate as part of the EMEA team and
within European development of solution offerings.

The Manager Client Services will work alongside the Sales Engineers and
Consultants in the EMEA organization and they will provide the technical
lead on projects. The Clients Services Manager is also expected to have
broad technical understanding of Red Hat technologies (like RHEL, RHEV
and CloudForms) as well as design larger enterprise solutions. Good
technical understanding, combined with an ability to architect and
present solutions is key. 

Typically, the role will involve:

- Scoping and writing proposals and Statement Of Works for projects and
work alongside Solution Architects, focusing on services elements of any
opportunity.
- Work with regional sales management, sales teams and Solution
Architects to prepare project set up and paperwork, ensure the right
resources are in place, and close sales opportunities
- Act as main liaison between the customer and the Red Hat consulting
team, ensuring delivery schedule, aims and objectives are being met
- Ensure Consulting processes are followed, including checking on time
cards, sign-off sheets and engagement journals.
- Provide design and architecture input around product and project
direction.
- Be responsible for relationship management and business development,
focusing on successful completion of current projects as well as
identifying new projects where Red Hat can be involved.
- Other responsibilities include training for consultants and Regional
Service Managers and participating in hiring and career development of
consultants and Solution Architects.

 
Job Requirements
- Experience within larger enterprise IT, in particular with Linux
and/or open source
- Sales education and affinity around understanding customer
requirements and building solutions
- Possess the technical expertise and enterprise/development background
to understand and interpret customer requirements.
- Good understanding of Red Hat Infrastructure products (like Red Hat
Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization) is an advantage
- Good understanding and experience with enterprise IT/computing
environments
- Have an empathy and understanding of open source software and its
benefits to Client facing consulting experience with excellent
communication and written communication skills
- Project management skills or knowledge would be an advantage
- Must be fluent in English
