I'm trying to find the right person (or people) for a sysadmin role with
us here in Leicester (city centre, 5 minutes from train station).
We have been a struggling to find the right people for the role so far
and so thought that asking the LUG community might help.

phase and are looking for someone with the right skills
to grow with the company.

*Responsibilities*

  * Craft and own the building of SYNETY's Cloud Systems.
  * Craft and own the building of SYNETY's server and telecoms network.
  * Collaborate closely with the product and development teams to create
    a world-class communications service.
  * Contribute to building the SYNETY Engineering Team.

*Requirements*

  * BSc., MSc., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent (Desired).
  * BGP, OSPF fundamental understanding. (Desired)
  * CCNA / CCNP, Cisco Certified or proven track record.
  * JNCP, JNCIS, Juniper Certified or proven track record.
  * Expert in Voice Over IP. (SIP)
  * Expert in Unix - Linux, BSD. (Ubuntu/Debian + BSD Desired)
  * Expert in developing complex scripts.
  * Experience in architecting server infrastructure.
  * Experience in Hosted IPBX platforms.
  * Experience in SANs (storage area networks). (iSCSI)
  * Experience in VOIP Protocols.
  * Experience in Telecoms PSTN Networks (numbering and call routing).

*Ideally*

  * Proficiency in a programming language.
  * Experience in BT IP Exchange or similar.
  * Experience in developing Telecoms VoIP platforms.
  * Experience in Telecoms Fraud Control.
