Position title: Principal Consultant – Media

Location: London, UK

As the Principal Consultant for Media, you will own the revenue and 
gross margin for you sector, ensure your Clients are highly satisfied 
with the services they receive and that consequently renewal rates are 
high. You will be responsible for the delivery of all services into your 
Clients as per the agreed contracts and associated budgets and will 
proactively work with the Business Development and Commercials teams to 
secure new business, upsells and renew existing contracts in Media. You 
will be tasked with creating thought leadership work for your sector to 
raise market awareness and build pipeline, and be expected to present at 
Maxymiser and Sector specific marketing events. You will also personally 
oversee the development and execution of Optimisation Strategies and the 
resulting work for your Clients.

Responsibilities:
Client Service Delivery

To ensure that all Clients have a maintained and up to date Optimisation 
Strategy or Roadmap and receive regular Quarterly Business Reviews
To ensure appropriate resources are proactively scheduled to meet Client 
requirements
To ensure that all resources meet Campaign volume and service targets on 
a monthly basis
To ensure that your team achieve Billable Hours targets per month
To achieve Client Satisfaction targets for your Clients
To achieve Renewal targets for existing Clients

Client Commercial Management

To proactively monitor and manage Client contracts to agreed budgets 
(hours and credits) and Gross Margin targets
To proactively work with the Commercial team in securing Renewals of 
existing contracts
To identify and create Upsell opportunities across the UK Client base 
and actively work with the Commercial team to close these as additional 
revenue
To help ensure that an ‘At Risk’ process involving the Commercial teams 
is actively managed for your sector
To proactively work with the VP EMEA and FD EMEA to achieve commercial 
targets for your Sector
Marketing & Business Development (for Media)
To liaise with Sales & Marketing on thought leadership, case studies and 
events relevant to help further develop market awareness and build 
pipeline for Media
To regularly review the Sales pipeline associated with Media
To determine with Head of Business Development how best to support 
business development activities

Team Management
Leadership, coaching, development and motivation of your team (3-9 
people including Analysts, Consultants, Account Executives and Project 
Managers.)
To set and review quarterly objectives for your team
To perform annual appraisals for direct reports
To manage holidays and expenses across your team
Resource Management
To proactively monitor resource requirements across your Clients and 
pipeline and ensure that the Head of CS is aware of any recruitment 
requirements
To ensure that the Head of CS and relevant GTS teams have a clear, 
accurate and timely understanding of the volume of campaign work to be 
delivered for Media

Qualifications:
Proven track record of building successful client engagements in 
customer experience optimisation
Proven experience in delivering optimisation programmes for enterprise 
clients in a specific sector (Media preferred)
Experience in managing both internal teams and customer teams
Strong people management skills in recruiting, developing and retaining 
the best talent
Outstanding oral and written communications skills to internal and 
external client stakeholders
A natural, consultative style to build strong relationships with senior 
client stakeholders
Strong leadership skills and a high level of personal integrity
University degree or equivalent
Fluency in English
Fast learner, ability to quickly absorb new concepts and ideas
Previous commercial background may include online testing, website 
optimisation, web analytics, data analysis, customer usability, CRM or 
data driven online marketing.
