I'm currently working with a client looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator based in West London. Circa 45k.

Technical requirements:


*         Linux system administration skills - Mostly Ubuntu.

*         Significant experience of system analysis

*         Bash shell scripting

*         LAMP optimisation

Responsibilities include:


*         Working closely with your colleagues and to prioritise and schedule support activities

*         Create clear and current documentation that you will update as required.

*         Managing day to day workload, prioritising between fix on fail activities and small system enhancements.

*         Review/monitor raised incidents to ensure proper resolution and categorisation for all incidents.

*         Maintain and develop system monitoring.

*         Perform advanced admin tasks as required in relation to fault diagnosis and problem resolution.

*         System/Infrastructure design and planning.

*         Active Directory

*         Ability to multi-task and prioritise where necessary

*         Able to coach and mentor more junior team members

*         Manage support and delegate where appropriate and necessary
