Hi all,

I currently have a vacancy for a Systems Engineer to join my team at 
Genomics PLC, based in central Oxford:


Systems Engineer
A Systems Engineer is required to join a small team within a rapidly 
growing start-up, based in central Oxford. The successful candidate will 
be working closely with development and research teams to deliver and 
manage 'big data' analytic systems which will reach petabyte scale. They 
will also provide day-to-day support for internal IT requirements 
covering Linux, Mac OSX and Windows.

The ideal candidate will have:
     3+ years experience of administering Linux-based systems in a 
production environment (ideally Debian/Ubuntu).
     A proven history of providing user support in a mixed (Linux, Mac 
OSX, Windows) environment
     Confidence working with configuration management tools (primarily 
Ansible).
     Enthusiasm for working in a 'DevOps' environment.

And be able to demonstrate expertise in 1 or more of the following:
     Ability to develop bespoke code to support operations, ideally in 
Python.
     HPC and cluster management with large datasets
     Managing Cloud platforms such as Openstack
     Data protection and handling the security of sensitive information.

Genomics PLC is a genome analysis company spun out of the University of 
Oxford in early
2014.The company analyses and interprets the DNA to infer the genetic 
basis to clinically-
relevant phenotypes (typically human diseases). Analysis of the human 
genome has many
potential applications in designing and delivering healthcare. Current 
potential clients range
from pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the global market 
(helping them to
improve the drug development process) to healthcare providers (for 
example to help
personalised clinical care). The company bases its analyses on 
cutting-edge statistical and
bioinformatics approaches.
