Newcastle University have re-advertised the following HPC sysadmin post:
The role will involve systems administration of a new High Performance Computing service, to be launched in Spring 2017, and promises the opportunity to work in a personable, varied and richly collaborative environment.
As part of its offer of employment, the University can include an offer of assistance with the relocation costs that may arise if the employee has to move home in order to take up the appointment.

HPC Linux Systems Administrator
The post-holder will lead the systems administration of a new University-wide HPC system that will be installed during Q2 2017.
You should have a thorough knowledge of: Linux (one or more of: RedHat, CentOS, SUSE) server administration in an HPC environment; automated systems management using scripting; installation of commercial applications in an HPC environment (e.g. Intel Compiler Suite; MATLAB Distributed Computing Service; FLUENT; ABAQUS) and the ability to develop and support large scale systems within existing management frameworks regardless of platform.
You should be flexible with the ability to acquire new technical skills in a short time frame, and have excellent organisational and communication skills. You will also be expected to represent the team at forums or conferences both within and outside the University.
