Hi folks
LU IT Services are looking for someone to come and work in our Infrastructure & Operations Section as a sysadmin (although the role is called IT Services Specialist).
We’re a mixed Windows & Linux shop, and we’re in the process of launching a formally managed CentOS server service for all departments to use.
The role requires some reasonable experience of administration of Linux in a corporate/enterprise environment, preferably CentOS or another RHEL-derived distribution. Experience with Windows server would be a huge advantage, but isn’t totally essential. Good troubleshooting skills are a necessity as we’ll be supporting users of all levels of ability.
Anyone with experience of Exim, SpamAssassin and related software as well as the generic LAMP stack will stand a good chance, and if you’ve got virtualisation/orchestration/networking experience, so much the better.
For those who insist on this in emails, it’s a Grade 6 post, £30,395 - £39,609.
Feel free to drop me an email at si-jobs at lboro.ac.uk or phone 01509 222041 if you’d like to find out more - but if you’re a recruiter, please don’t.

Cheers!
Graeme
