We’ve got a vacancy come up in our dev/sysops team. We’re based in 
Bethnal Green, and travel to our DC in the city will be required fairly 
often.

Oscar Music & Media develops OpenIMP (Open Independent Music Platform), 
one of the most advanced end to end digital music platforms, supporting 
business and consumer services for partners around the world.

Our approach has been to create a generalised data management platform, 
tailored to the music industry, and based on the open platform 
principles of the group
		 	 	 		
The system has been architected to make the platform available to 3rd 
party entities with specialised apps and processes to pull analyses and 
information from the data pool.	

About the role
———————————————
You will provide hands-on support for our datacentre operations, which 
supports all of our technical undertaking. Working within a 
multidisciplinary team you will work alongside others to solve daily 
operational problems, as well as bigger infrastructure and architectural 
issues.

Operational support lies at the heart of this role, you’ll be acting 
as a point of contact for several teams across the business. Often you 
will function as a first line of support for incoming issues that relate 
to the software and services that we provide.

Key experience
——————————————-
Knowledge of Linux
Strong scripting skills in Python and/or bash
Experience using some configuration management tooling ie. Ansible, 
Puppet or Chef
Experience with containers
Experience operating in a physical data centre
Comfortable working independently
An ability to understand complex, multi-system problems
Previous exposure to server hardware and basic maintenance

Nice to have experience

Network operations experience, specifically with Juniper hardware and 
JunOS
Perl programming experience
Exposure to container orchestration tools ie. Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
Experience with a large distributed file system, we use Ceph.
