Good morning,
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a Linux n00b, well, because I am.
I've played a bit on Mandrake for what seems like a long time ago and
last year I had a quick poke at Kubuntu but work, uni and gaming has
always ushered me back to Windoze.
Now, I've decided to dedicate one of my PCs to Kubuntu so I would like
recommendations for any n00b websites. Silly little things that
seasoned-users take for granted, like installing stuff, network config'
settings and things. I would like to get up to speed as quickly as
possible, you recommendation (not blurbs) will be appreciated.
There is a stereotype for Linux users of a rather unpleasant guys, who
is smart and brilliant but lacking social manner. Someone who insults
n00bs and non-linux users, a text-book definition of a hypocrit. I would
hope that no one in this group conforms to the stereotype.
I state the above not to insult anyone but to recommend against firing
insults at n00bs.
Please and thank you.
