charge for consultancy or support, or if you don't want to open the
product, then offer it out free of charge and then charge for
consultancy/support, a lot of big players make their money from this
kind of setup and it has worked well in the past. With the current
climate I'd expect that schools/colleges will be looking for the
cheapest route, and finding a product without fees and license costs
will be a better choice in their eyes.
