Thanks for the replies folks, I'll take a look. I'm not sure which model she
has and I don't know how the models differ. I think perhaps the wireless
needs NDISWrapper but I don't know. If you could bring a bootable USB with
Karmic on for the meet Doof I'd be eternally grateful. Not sure what I've
done with my USB stick at the moment. I'm gonna do a bit of research and see
what I can find out. I'm sure I've heard many stories of people using the
Wind with Linux. I'm sure it's possible.
She asked me the other night and of course I responded with "yeah no problem
we can get that working" without thinking. Probably should have double
checked it would actually work but there's nothing like confidence, and
Guinness hehe. I was certain I'd heard of people using Linux on the Wind a
lot. It seems pretty standard hardware.
