Just wanted to say thanks to Bob for putting in all this effort. It 
benefits all of us, and some of these things (such as liaising with the 
social centre people) really needed doing - so thanks for finding the 
time to deal with this.

I also agree that everything should be kept as simple as possible - both 
from a technical and admin point of view. Over time people might come 
and go, might get involved in different commitments and become rather 
less available - even if temporarily - so I think it should be made so 
that it's easy for somebody new to get involved and help.

Also, I've been involved with other groups/clubs in the past - and in 
some cases, the admin and running of things takes a life of its own and 
becomes the main focus of the group's activity. I think admin should 
always be a "necessary evil", something to be kept as simple as 
possible. Meeting up, having talks, debating Linux (and drinking beer) 
is what it should all be about, really :-)
