Next Wednesday I'll be one of the people speaking at the next FACT
Associates event. I've not worked out my slides yet, but it'll be
something based around what we're up to with DoES Liverpool. Plus
there'll be other speakers talking about more interesting things... ;-)
Cheers,
Adrian.

*Digital Innovation - What is it?*
*
*
This is the third in the series of FACT Associates evening events in
which we explore the role of Digital Innovation in the UK capital and
cultural economy. Much has been made of what exactly digital innovation
is and we invite you to join us and our associates in an open talk and
debate. To set the scene we will have four speakers drawn from different
areas of the creative industries to help unlock some fresh thinking.
. *Ana Botella* is the new Programme Producer at FACT. She will be
talking about FACT's developing programme and her experiences of digital
innovation elsewhere.
. *Error* are a busy Liverpool based digital company specialising in
online project development, with an expanding portfolio of successful
projects.
. *Adrian McEwen* is a Liverpool based developer and programmer who has
recently co-developed the DOES Liverpool space. He is an expert on
arduino technologies and a keen explorer of the Internet of Things concept.
. *Kevin McManus* is Head of Creative and Digital at Liverpool Vision.
He will talk about business support for the digital sector in Liverpool.
The event will be opened to the floor for further discussion. Please
come along and join in with the debate. The FACT Associate scheme is
open to artists working in the digital sector in Liverpool and
Merseyside. Contact Tracy Fairclough for more details -
